My name is Simon Sonneland. I am living a life today that I could hardly have imagined just a few short months ago. My story here in Australia began as a broke Kiwi who moved over from N.Z. to Mandurah, Western Australia, about 5 years ago now. I had spent 20 years of my life working myself to the bone, in the harsh environment of the Southern Ocean as a longline fisherman, so that I would be comfortable when I finally retired. My business failed. I lost both my houses, a $250K boat and then, my wife to be, died of cancer. I left N.Z. angry and depressed to make a new start. I didn't find it right away. I worked several jobs in the first few years, and some very long hours for very little reward. I put up with a lot of crap, because I was determined not to return to the fishing industry. It wasn't all bad though. I met Jo here in Australia, we quickly fell for each other and we got married. That was great, but for me, being on wages for the first time in my life, I still found it difficult to save money. I tried some Multi-Level Marketing for a while, with very little success. In fact I ended up losing more money, and so I quickly became wary of all online ventures.
